Our Homework Policy…

Each
student will receive a homework folder, which should travel with your child
to school each day. All notices and homework will be sent home in this
folder, so it is important that the contents be reviewed on a daily basis. First
Grade students will have homework four nights a week, Monday through
Thursday. Homework will consist of a Math Homelink,
15 minutes of reading per night, and occasionally some Spelling work. It is a
good idea for parent to read the daily Math Homelink
Parent Note. This is a good way to keep connected to each day’s lesson. All
completed work should be returned to school the following day. It is helpful to find a consistent and quiet spot where your first grader can sit to complete homework. Parents, please feel free to comment on/correct any written work done by your child. |
