Summer Reading in Advanced Placement United States History!

The summer reading in AP US History this year will be Chapter One (pp.3-20) and Parts Three and Four (209-445) of Ronald Takaki's A Different Mirror: A History of Multicultural America (2008 paperback edition) [ISBN 978-0-316-02236-1].

Students will also have a second book that all students in US History will be reading. This is Tracy Kidder's Strength in What Remains [ISBN 978-1-4000-6621-6].

I am thrilled to be a history teacher in my fifth year at Dover-Sherborn High School.  After four years teaching in Los Angeles and six years teaching in Holliston, I look forward to spending many more years teaching here.
